Tower’s 4-TH offers many of the features of its predecessor, the
4FM: dual-conversion, 7-channel FM receiver, trainer system with spring-loaded
switch, all-channel reversing and trims, adjustable sticks, NiCds, charger, universal
connectors-and the economy of adding your own servos. But it’s more than a good,
solid value: it’s a good, solid value with some nice little extras! For instance:
600mAh NiCds, for extra flying time. A case with more curves than edges (for comfort)
and “hollow box” base for more set-down stability than “feet”. The trainer port
accepts Futaba’s new square plug-the one with a built-in 90 degree angle to prevent
damage. No battery meter-just LEDs for at-a-glance awareness. If both glow, power
is fine. If only red glows, it’s dropping fast. If the red LED flashes...land
now! Less pricey to buy, more fun to fly-that’s the 4-TH.
