You can take your first flight the same day you open the box! The fiberglass fuselage, wing tips, wheel pants, and cowl come expertly painted, and the built-up wood wing and tail have film covering already applied.

Great Planes selected fiberglass as the best material for the fuselage, wing tips, cowl, and wheel pants — due to its low weight, strength, and ability to recreate the full-size Lancair ES aircraft’s smooth contours.

Like the full-size Lancair ES, this electric model has fixed landing gear in a tricycle configuration that offers the option of a steerable nose wheel for greater ground control. White fiberglass wheel pants provide a crowning touch of detail.

For a clean installation, the gearbox mounts in front of the firewall. The motor bolts in behind it. Cooling holes in the fuselage supply ventilation — and avoid any chance of cracking or gouging the fiberglass by cutting your own.

Assembles in as little as six hours.

Includes a perfectly matched Speed 400 motor with gearbox, 30 amp electronic speed control, 1800mAh NiMH battery, spinner, and prop.

Wing panels remove for easy transport, and plug-in quickly and easily for flight.

Clear canopy locks in place with magnetic power, but removes effortlessly for quick battery access.
